Me and My Family

My name is Justin Behrens and I just am a regular person like you and everybody else. I was born in Bradford, West Yorkshire, in the UK some 34 years ago where I grew up in Baildon. At the age of 11 we moved to Cheshire as my father had landed a new job and I am still living here now some 24 years later.

I’m married to my beautiful wife Emma, who I met when I was 20, and we now have three young energetic boys (Jack, Harry & Thomas) who keep us both very active and life really wouldn’t be as much fun without them.

My Work

As a young kid, I was never much interested in school and as a teenager I never knew what it was that I wanted to do, which I suppose is nothing unusual, but what I did know is that I wanted to work and start earning money as soon as possible.  University never appealed to me either because I was too keen to start earning straight away so that route was never even an option I considered.

My first job was working in the city of Manchester, UK for a telesales company asking businesses to support and fund the cost of childrens safety publications into local schools to promote childrens understanding of all aspects of safety.  It was a great start into working life and I was one of the leading sales guys too so I really enjoyed the job.  It was my first taste of full time work and the vibe was great, however, as with all things, the time came to move on and  after a couple of other jobs, I eventually joined forces with my Father in the jewellery and luxury goods industry where I have been ever since.

It wasn’t a traditional jewellery business as you maybe thinking, but one which specialised in the design, development and supply of goods manufactured from the Far East. Business has been extremely good over the years and I really can’t complain. I’ve had the opportunity to travel umpteen times to the Far East visiting factories with clients and I’ve had the pleasure of owning some nice cars over the years.

BUT, the one thing that has always bothered me about working for myself is the amount of time I spend working and the lack of holidays I have been able to take through my comittment to my work. I have always put my customers first, which is the right mentality to have, but I wanted more time freedom. I want that more now than ever before and as I see my children grow up, I want to be able to have more time to spend with them and not let my work rule my life.  After all, they are only young once and time flies……believe me!

Searching For Something…

So, I turned to the internet. I knew that with the internet booming and the number of users growing year on year, this was and is, the future!!

You maybe familure with the search terms, “Make Money Online“, “Online Business Opportunity“, “Work From Home” etc… etc…   Well, I can’t tell you how many late nights and weekends I would spend sat on the sofa in front of the TV searching for opportunites. I knew there were massive opportunites, but I also knew there were allot of scams too. I had looked at eBay, stocks and shares, Forex trading and gambling sites but I had no experience or even much of an interest in this.

Anything that remotely became of interest was way out of my financial comfort zone and I wasn’t sure if it was going to fullfil the value it was costing.  

I knew there was a better way to make something more of my life and after narrowing my search down, I started to concentrate on Internet and Affiliate Marketing. The idea of being able to earn passive income streams and run your business from your laptop anywhere in the world really, really appealed to me and being free to work when you want and where you want was the answer!

I spent months and months trying to understand internet marketing (IM), how it all works, who does what. I was a complete Newbie and knew absolutly nothing at all. I really struggled, quite simply due to INFORMATION OVERLOAD!!!

So I went to the beginning and started from the ground up to understand what the internet is, why it is there and how it works. Only when you understand it is its simplest form can you understand how to make money online. You can’t run before you walk, and the same applies here.

I began to understand and wanted just to get going, but my biggest problem by far was where to start. I mean literally, I had no idea how to build a website, how to design a website, which software to use, how to market it, what to write etc… and the list just went on and on!!

I kept saying to myself “How am I ever supposed to start in this field if I don’t know how to do the basics and get started?”
